Aftercare
External
- Lightly sand to remove surface dirt and debris
- Apply a thin maintenance coat of Osmo UV Protection Oil Extra, taking care to work the oil in to the surface of the wood and wiping off any excess
- For wood that has become discoloured or is showing signs of mould, algae or moss, please refer to the Osmo preparation guide
Internal
Oiled surfaces should not be cleaned with steam cleaners, harsh household detergents or cleaners as they will degrade the finish and its performance.
Regular Cleaning
can be cleaned with Osmo Wash And Care and a damp, lint-free cloth, then wiped dry. Alternatively, use Osmo Spray Cleaner (8026)
Deep Cleaning
Stubborn marks and stains can be removed by using Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner, that both cleans and regenerates oiled surfaces.
Renovation
Renovating, even partially, is easy. Just clean and re-treat worn areas with a thin coat of Osmo Top Oil - no sanding, no repair marks and no removal of previous Top Oil finish is required. No repair marks will be visible if applied thinly and appropriately.
